Meet the States
The Central Region is one of eight National Garden Club regions. It is comprised of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin.
The Garden Clubs of Illinois currently has approximately 6500 members in 146 clubs, an additional 12 affiliate plant societies, arboretums and similar organizations, and 3 Junior Clubs in Illinois. Founded in 1925
The Garden Club of Indiana, Inc. is a non-profit educational organization, formed in 1930, with a mission to promote interest and education in horticulture, landscaping, floral design and environmental concerns.
Federated Garden Clubs of Iowa, Inc, strives to provide our membership with the most current, and accurate gardening information. Founded in 1928, this group became a charter member of NGC in 1929.
Founded in 1955, our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization is a hub for promoting the art and science of gardening across all of Minnesota. We empower our fellow horticulturists in pursuing their passion for cultivating lush, healthy gardens.
There are 71 affiliated garden clubs with 1519 members in Missouri. FGCM was officially organized on March 30, 1933, in St. Louis, by representatives of nine clubs from various sections of Missouri. FGCM joined NGC in 1937.
The Wisconsin Garden Club Federation (WGCF) provides education, resources and opportunities for its members to promote and to share the love of gardening, floral design, civic and environmental responsibilities.
